Telkom reviews prices for ShowMax Pro Mobile Data deals

Stream up to 10 hours of the English Premier League (EPL) every day for a month on Showmax Pro Mobile with Telkom’s 30GB and 45GB Data Bundles.

Nairobi, Tuesday, December 1, 2020: Telkom has reviewed its ShowMax Pro mobile data deals following heightened demand witnessed during the Black Friday offer of the same. Christmas therefore will be coming early for Telkom subscribers, as the 30GB and 45GB data bundles that are inclusive of a one-month subscription to stream Showmax Pro, on mobile devices, will now retail at KSh 1,200 and KSh 1,600 respectively. This sees a 20% discount on the bundles that previously retailed at  KSh 1,500 and KSh 2,000 respectively.

Showmax Pro is the new service available in Kenya that bundles the existing Showmax entertainment offering with music channels, news and live sports streaming from SuperSport, including all Premier League, Serie A and La Liga games, as well as a wide range of live sports events like athletics, professional boxing and the world’s biggest marathons.

The Showmax Pro Mobile and Telkom data bundles are available to new and returning Showmax subscribers on the Telkom network. The bundle offering includes:

  • A 30GB data bundle + 1 month Showmax Pro Mobile subscription for KSh1,200 to stream Showmax Pro Mobile for up to 10 hours a day on a mobile device, with a 1GB daily allocation.
  • A 45GB data bundle + 1 month Showmax Pro Mobile subscription for KSh1,600 to stream Showmax Pro for up to 15 hours a day, on a mobile device, with a 1.5GB daily allocation.

These offers that run up until the end of March, 2021 are exclusively available to Telkom customers by dialing *544# via one’s mobile.

How do I get these offers?

The offers can be purchased via the Telkom Mpesa paybill number.

  • Dial *544# and select Showmax Bundle – Buy via Mpesa.
  • Choose your bundle.
  • Put in your Telkom number.
  • You’ll receive an STK prompt to put in your Mpesa PIN.
  • You’ll receive an SMS notification from Mpesa, followed by an SMS from Telkom with your bundle details, and one with the Showmax Pro Mobile voucher.

Who qualifies for these offers?

New and returning Showmax customers that are also Telkom subscribers.

What do these offers entail?

Customers can purchase either 30GB or 45GB of Telkom Data  at KSh1,200 and KSh1,600 respectively, and will also receive a one-month Showmax Pro subscription voucher.

Will I receive the 30GB of Data as soon as I take up the offer?

No, you will receive either 1GB or 1.5GB of Data per day, depending on which offer you purchase.

What happens if I run out of my Data allocation for the day?

You can either wait for the next daily Data allocation, the following day, or you can choose to top up.

Can I purchase this offer on the Showmax website?

No. The offer  can only be purchased via the Telkom Mpesa paybill number

Can I switch the Showmax voucher for another Showmax plan?

No, the voucher only applies  to Showmax Pro Mobile  and cannot be switched to another Showmax plan.

Can I use the Data however I choose?

Yes, the Data is not limited to streaming Showmax Pro Mobile only.

How long is this offer valid?

The offer is valid up until end of March, 2021.

How long is the Data valid for?

The Data allocation will be valid for 30 days from the day of receipt. For example, if the first Data allocation is received on 20 December 2020, it will be allocated daily until 19 January 2021. The deal is once-off and must be bought each 30-day period.

Will these offers  only give me acess to Telkom Data?

Yes. Theese offers apply to Telkom  Data bundles only.

Will the customer need to complete their mobile number on their Showmax account?

Yes. The confirmation SMS to the account will be sent via this mobile number.
