Mugo brings a wealth of top-level management experience from both the private and public sectors.

He is an Electrical Engineer and holds a B.Tech (Electrical Engineering) Degree from Moi University (Kenya),a M.Sc. Degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA) and an MBA from George Washington University (USA).

He is the immediate former Group CEO of Sanlam Kenya PLC.His previous roles include serving in the positions of DG at Kenya’s Vision 2030 Secretariat and Group MD/CEO at East African Cables PLC.

Allan joins Telkom from the Java House Group (JHG), where, as its CFO, he was responsible for JHG’s financial management including its subsidiaries in Uganda, Rwanda and Nigeria. Prior to joining JHG, Allan worked with the British American Tobacco (BAT) Group. His 19-year career at the BAT was quite extensive, serving in general management, Internal Audit, Commercial and mainstream Finance, Strategy and Planning. Allan’s work experience has spanned a number of countries and regions including: East Africa, Zambia, DRC and the UK.

Allan Wainaina

Chief Financial Officer

Kosi brings more than 25 years’ experience from the Telecommunications industry. He started his career as a Radio and Optimisation Engineer at Vodafone UK. Thereafter, he worked with Mobile Systems International (MSI) in the UK, and internationally, in various network license bids, network roll out, transformation and quality improvement projects. He was also Vice President at international European vendors, Marconi and Ericsson. Kosi has undertaken a number of successful startup companies in the UK and internationally focusing on creating solutions to bring efficiencies to the operator. He holds a Bachelor’s (Honors) Degree in Telecommunication Engineering from the United Kingdom.

Kosi Ali

Chief Operating Officer

Julius has over 15 years’ multinational experience in the Technology sector. Julius joined Telkom in the capacity of Director, Corporate Development, and thereafter Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer, before taking on the role of Chief Strategy and Business Development Officer. Prior to joining Telkom, he had served at IBM and Nokia Networks, among others.

With extensive industry experience and training, Julius holds a Bachelor of Business Information Technology from Strathmore University. He is currently pursuing a Master of Public Policy and Management at the same university.

Chief Strategy and Business Development Officer

Gitanjali has consulted widely on niche areas such as Go-to-Market strategic approaches, helping businesses to set up and increase their distribution depth, resulting in increased sales and revenues opportunities.Gitanjali has also served as Head – Marketing, at Sun Telenor Payments Bank (India); as Head - Sales & Distribution, Telenor (India), as Associate Director – Quality, at UBS (India); and as Manager - Usage & Revenue, Reliance Infocomm (India). Gitanjali has completed the Leadership Executive Program from the London Business School. She also holds certifications and qualifications from the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad, India (Executive Management Programme), the Design Thinking Program – Olso, Norway, and the Six Sigma Master Black Belt from the Indian Statistical Institute, Bangalore, India. 

Gitanjali Parida

Director, Transformation & Performance

A youthful HR leader with over 10 years’ experience, she brings a great breadth of skill in developing and implementing HR strategy, Leadership Development and Talent Management. Prior to joining Telkom, she worked at Deloitte Kenya and the Kenya Women Finance Bank – the largest MFI serving a niche market. Brenda is a Certified HR Practitioner with the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM). She holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree - Human Resources (University of Nairobi) and is currently pursuing an MBA in Strategic Management from the University of Nairobi. She is also training as an Executive Coach. She serves as a Director at KUSSCO Housing Cooperative Society Limited in the Executive Committee responsible for oversight, risk management and strategic planning of the society

Brenda Minayo

Director, Human Resources

With 14 years of experience as an advocate of the High Court of Kenya, Wangechi has garnered immense knowledge in the telecommunications industry in the past 10 years. Prior to joining Telkom she worked at Airtel Networks Kenya Limited as the Senior Regulatory Officer, as a State Counsel at the State Law Office and practiced as an Associate Advocate in various law firms. Additionally, she sits on the Telposta Pension Scheme Board in the capacity of legal advisor.

Wangechi Gichuki

Director, Legal Affairs

George has fourteen years’ experience in the Public Relations industry in Kenya, with a focus on ICT. He has 11 years’ demonstrable experience with respect to content generation and packaging for multiple and diverse audiences. Prior to joining the company, George had worked with PR Agency Apex Porter Novelli, handling the East African Community portfolio. He has also worked for the Access Kenya Group, in its Communications, Sponsorship and CSR function. He is a member of the Public Relations Society of Kenya and the Chartered Institute of Public Relations – UK. 

George Mlaghui

Director, Corporate Communications

Elam is a distinguished audit, compliance and risk management professional, who has been specialising in internal controls and governance process improvement in the telecommunications sector. Elam has worked within Internal Audit Functions for companies such as Wananchi Group (Head of Internal Audit) and Safaricom (Principal Auditor for Commercial Processes). He led external audit teams while working at PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PWC) in providing assurance on statutory and group financial reports. Elam holds a BSc in Computer Science and is a Certified Information Systems Auditor. He is also a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
