SkyNet is a satellite broadband service on Ka–Band with high data transfer rates by using small receiving antennas.

Ka-band uses frequencies in the 26.5 to 40 GHz range while Ku-Band and C Band are at a lower frequency at 12 to 18 GHz range and 4 to 8GHz respectively. With a higher frequency, as is with Ka-Band, you can extract more bandwidth therefore a higher data transfer rate and, therefore, higher performance.

There is country-wide coverage of SkyNet through multiple beams positioned in various parts

1.SME, Corporate and Public Sector customers are eligible for service.

A customer can access the service by onboarding as customer through a Telkom AM

Any business that has operations especially in remote locations with no infrastructure can benefit from using SkyNet.

The product comes with 3 options i.e., Metered, Unlimited and Metered with a Committed Information Rate ( CIR ) Service where a customer can get fixed volumes, unlimited resources

1.Because the service is a VSAT service, customers can access it from anywhere and everywhere with coverage which is over 80% of the country including remote areas.

1.The deployment time for SkyNet product can vary depending on the number of locations that need to be connected and the speed of hardware delivery. However, with remote installation and support, many businesses can deploy SkyNet product within a matter of a couple of days upon terminal delivery.
